Process Technician

A leading PLASTIC manufacturing company located in the Charlotte, North Carolina area is recruiting 2nd & 3rd shift Process Technicians. Position is responsible for troubleshooting, making improvements on existing equipment, processing and focusing on cost efficiency.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Monitors machines and responds to calls for process assistance in a timely manner to minimize downtime and scrap
  • Starts up and adjusts machines for maximum output and efficiency and minimum scrap will maintaining quality
  • Performs mold changes safely
  • Sets-up auxiliary equipment
  • Programs robotic material handlers and injection mold machines
  • Performs insert and version changes to molds, including date code accuracy
  • Assists the Maintenance Technician in the repair of machines, molds, and other auxiliary machines
  • Assists in the inspection of in-process and finished products
  • Performs additional duties as assigned
  • Minimum 3 years prior experience as a process technician
  • Experience in an injection molding manufacturing environment preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Must be able and willing to work flexible shifts (including 12 hour rotating day/night shifts) with some overtime as required
  • Ability to push, pull, lift, carry or otherwise move up to 50 lbs

Requirements include but are not limited to:

  • 3 plus years of providing technical support in injection molding
  • Strong technical, written, verbal, computer and reasoning skills
  • Troubleshooting of injection molding presses
  • Must be able to work in high volume fast paced environment
