A leading plastic packaging company in Danville, Virginia is searching for a Plant Manager. Will be responsible for management of all aspects of operations, production, engineering, quality and maintenance in high volume manufacturing. Also responsible for implementing world class manufacturing and promote strong safety and excellent customer service.  Company offers excellent salary, benefits, bonus potential and relocation assistance.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
•Showing key results in production profits, customer satisfaction, team development and compliance with safety
•Process efficiencies to include reduction of inventory, scrap and quality cost
•Team Development to improve leadership and technical capabilities with team
•Provide direction to manufacturing to meet budgets and production goals
•Design and implement process systems for higher efficiency
•Responsible for operational planning, production operations, engineering, maintenance, EHS, Logistics, Production Planning and Customer Management
•Develop vendors, participate in vendor and contract management
•Develop staff , train and develop skilled labor
•Responsible for Financial budgets, costing, proposals and inventory
•Implementing Lean, Six Sigma & Continuous Improvement across facility
•Must be able to present to management at the COO , CEO & VP levels

Requirements include but are not limited to:
•10 years of experience in high volume world class manufacturing in the plastics or flexible packaging industry
•Six Sigma Certification preferred green or black belt
•10 years in plant management in leadership role
•Strategic leader with customer focus and interpersonal skills
•Self-Driven, organizational and change agent background
•Must be able to build a team and manage a facility of 300 employees with salary and hourly direct reports
•Technical ability in process, operations, maintenance and engineering
•Logistics and Supply Chain to include production planning
•Strong system, presentation skills, mentoring and a strong change agent

•Travel as required to customer sites, international to corporate headquarters and trade shows in the packaging segment
•Strong skills in delegating and mentoring
•Working knowledge of world class manufacturing
•Must be able to work with international company and understand the culture

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Management or Engineering
