Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Coordinate production requirements with production management according to work specifications
• Establish production/shipping for customer orders
• Coach, mentor, counsel and teach accountability to associates
• Implement changes to processes to streamline and improve performance and maintain and create cost effective resources
• Lead and implement lean manufacturing initiatives to improve supplier lead times, inventory and component cost
• Oversee planning, customer service and material handling associates
• Develop team members to meat goals for succession planning
• Lead meeting with associates to promote safety and departmental strategy and objectives
• Communicate with all levels of organization on material related issues involving shipments between suppliers/plants
• Ensure corporate and plant programs are effectively maintained to keep plant in compliance
• Responsible for inventory, cycle counts and physical inventory
• Primary customer contact/customer advocate for delivery performance

Requirements include but are not limited to:
• 7 years related experience/training with progressive responsibility for direct material management within manufacturing. Preferred candidate should have direct automotive or heavy manufacturing industry in materials environment with extensive ERP experience. Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools
• Excellent communication and be able to interact with all levels in facility
• Intimate ERP configuration, manufacturing processes and systems
• Demonstrate knowledge with lean manufacturing systems or Six Sigma
• Experience leading hourly & salaried employees
• Experience supporting mixed- model assembly and fabrication operations
• Proven background in project management, leading teams and documenting lean manufacturing training
• Ability to work flexible schedule and travel as needed

Education: Bachelor’s Degree
