
Human Resource Generalist

A leading manufacturing company in Danville, Virginia is seeking to hire a Human Resource Generalist. Seeking the ideal professional to support manufacturing operations, train all plant level employees on safety and assist in hiring hourly production employees.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Support manufacturing coordinating the hire of hourly staffing and recruiting
• Facilitate conflict management between employee’s and train on team environment
• Conduct safety programs, training, audits and complete all paperwork to keep plant compliant
• Work with Temporary agency on hiring needs
• Conduct new employee orientation, onboarding and safety training
• Coordinate training and certifications for forklift operations
• Assist with benefits, work under HR Manager and handle any other assigned duties
• Report and documentation through HRIS System
• Conduct OSHA Audits on machines
• Support 24 hour 7 day a week manufacturing operation
Requirements include but are not limited to:
• 3-5 years hands on experience working in manufacturing as a HR Generalist, Safety Coordinator or Recruiter
• Must have OSHA 10 or 30 training and certification
• Training in Forklift safety and operation a plus
• Must be able to do all HR administrative paperwork on each new hire
• Recruit, Hire, On-Board, Training of hourly employees (Temporary & Direct Hire)
• Process weekly payroll, benefits and reviews
• Lead and conduct all safety training and meetings in facility
• Must be able to conduct safety audits on machines and complete OSHA Audit
• Strong systems, written and communication skills
• Good solid understanding of safety in industrial manufacturing plant
• Must be a self-starter and work in a fast paced environment
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or five years related training and experience
